How to Find & Filter CEFR Content

Do you use the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) standards in your classroom? Our lessons will display a CEFR-equivalent level if you set this level preference in your account settings.

The CEFR equivalencies on Ellii are based on our in-house scale and are subject to change. This scale is also useful for teachers who recognize other levels or standardized tests.

Please follow the instructions below to display CEFR levels for all Ellii lessons.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1

Click on your profile icon on the top right and select Account from the menu.

Step 2

On your My Account page, you can see Level Preference in Settings. To change this filter, click the Edit button.

Please note: CEFR & Ellii will appear by default if you have signed up as a European teacher.

Step 3

Under How do you want lesson levels displayed? select CEFR & Ellii. Click the Update button to finish.

Step 4

You will find the equivalent CEFR level now displayed for each lesson inside of every lesson category.
