How to Manually Create Student Accounts

Teachers have the option of creating a username and password for each student, or a Key Code made up of two letters and four numbers.

The two letters will typically be their initials or the first two letters of their first name.

When students log on to Ellii, they can type in their username and password or Key Code and last name, depending on the method the teacher chooses when manually creating the student account.

Please note that any students who were previously set up with a username and password will continue to log in the same way as before.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1

Click on the Everything menu and click Classroom.

Step 2

On the Classroom page, click the class you would like to add students to.

Step 3

Once inside a class, click on the Students tab.

Step 4

Click Manually create accounts.

Step 5

If you would like to create student accounts with a username and password, click on the click here link.

Step 6

Enter your student's first name, last name, chosen username and password for the account. Once ready, click Create account.

Step 7

The Account created pop-up will appear showing the login details for the student account. You can share these details with your student along with the student login page. (https://ellii.com/students). Click Done once finished.

Step 8

To create a student account with a key code, type in your student's first name, last name and if needed, a student ID.

Please note: The Student ID field is optional and is not needed to create a student account.

Click Create account to finish.

Step 9

You will see your recently created student accounts with key codes at the bottom of the page. Share this code with your student and direct them to: ellii.com/students

Step 10

Students can log in at ellii.com/key.

They will type in their Key Code and Last Name then click Log in.

Step 11

Next, they will click on Ellii My Classes & Teachers.

Step 12

Students will click on their class to view announcements and begin doing homework.

Step 13

Once in the class, they can click on an announcement to view it or a lesson to begin doing homework.
