Listen & Type (Type in the Blanks) Task

Listen & Type is a practice or assessment task for great for spelling and listening practice. Follow the steps below to learn more!

You can find the Listen & Type task in these categories:

Step 1

Click Launch Tasks from the lesson overview page.

Step 2

Look for the Listen & Type task on the left-hand side, and click Start.

Step 3

The text in this task is the same as the Reference task found earlier in the lesson.

Step 4

You can close the task list by clicking the hamburger menu, and find the instructions for the task at the top.

Step 5

Click Play at the bottom to listen to the audio.

Step 6

To view audio highlights, click the Settings button and then click View audio highlights. As the audio plays, the text will be highlighted in real time.

Step 7

Work with your students in-person or online by screen sharing. Once you have entered the answers, click Submit.

Step 8

You can either try the task again, review the answers, or click Fix answers to see the responses that were wrong.

Step 9

To see the answer key for this task, click the grey apple.

Step 10

To add this lesson to your class, click Add to Class.
