Read & Listen Task
Read & Listen is a reference task for reading and listening to articles, stories, and lesson presentations. The main components are a reading and audio. This task introduces the student to the main subject matter of the lesson they are working on.

Step 1
Click Launch Tasks from the lesson overview page.
Step 2
Look for the Read & Listen task on the left-hand side, and click Start.
Step 3
View the instructions at the top, and use the hamburger button to close the tasks list. Use the same button to bring it back.
Step 4
Play the audio for the reading by clicking the play button.
Step 5
To access the Immersive reader, click the Immersive reader button.
Step 6
Use the settings button to enable the speech highlighting feature. Click On from the menu. As audio plays, you will see text highlighted in real time.
Step 7
Once you have done the task with your students, you can click Done. Try the task again or move on to the next task.
Step 8
To add this lesson to your class, click Add to class.
